Monthly Musical Musings: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

For January's installment of Monthly Musical Musings, I wanted to create a playlist for a book that's as dark and gritty as Winter itself. Monthly Musical Musings #4: Jane Eyre!

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you probably know of my obsession with Charlotte Bronte's classic Jane Eyre. As soon as I read it, I obviously had to make a playlist about it with all of the songs that bring be back into that world. This playlist features a variety of different genres that range from quirky pop to brooding alternative ballads. This playlist is a bit different from my others in that I put the songs in order of the plot of the book, so the playlist basically tells an abbreviated version of the story. Monthly Musical Musings #1: The Mistborn Trilogy!

I love mixing books and music together. If read a book and I can't get it off my mind, I'll usually make a playlist about it to let my inner fangirl roam free. I've made several of these on my 8tracks, so I decided to share them in a monthly feature I'm calling Monthly Musical Musings!

This month's featured playlist is titled "There's Always Another Secret" and is inspired by The Mistborn Trilogy. It features fierce alternative tracks that pack a punch along with a few mellow ballads with a dark edge.
